| Kids On Stage is a performing arts opportunity for school age kids grades 1 thru 12 to grow in
self-confidence and communication skills through the preparation and performance
of high quality musical productions. Through this process children learn

Meg Simpson
Choreographer
Meg Simpson - Seussical is Meg's first time choreographing with Kids On Stage. Currently Meg is finishing her second year at Lake Michigan College. She majors in business with Minors in Music and Dance. She graduated in 2006 from Lakeshore High School where she was a member of Band, Choir, Equestrian Team, and participated in a number of talent shows and musicals. Meg began dancing at the age of 4 at Dance Arts. In high school her focus was on music and spending time with her horse. After graduation she really missed dancing and jumped back in beginning at the Citadel Dance Center where she took Ballet and Hip-hop. She is also attending Connie Cassidy's School of Dance and takes Pointe, Jazz, Ballet, Tap and guest teaches Hip-hop. This past summer Meg was in a summer dance company called "Stage Project" directed by Lari Lawrence, where she was able to sing, dance and act. Kids On Stage recognizes Meg's energy and enthusiasm and is excited to have her on board!

Wendy Hoskins
Production Assistant
| Wendy Hoskins has been working with Kids On Stage since the spring of 2005. As our (Indispensable!) Production Assistant, she is creative, contributes to the fun, kindly maintains order, attends to hurts and keeps Doug on track. She loves working with children and is a perfect addition to the Kids On Stage philosophy that "the most important thing to do on stage is have fun!" In her spare time, Wendy is a third grade teacher in Berrien Springs, a Brownie troop leader, a Sunday school teacher and helps with coaching. It seems that children are her life and working with them gives her great enjoyment. She loves to see the joy on their faces as they reach the goals they have been working to achieve. Since her nieces and daughter started performing with Doug, Wendy has seen the growth this program has brought the children in her family and other children. She truly believes that her contribution to Kids On Stage is a great way to help children build their self-esteem and to be more outgoing. Kids On Stage is fortunate to have Wendy on staff. |
Jen Meyer
Production Assistant
Jen Meyer’s first show helping as a production assistant was High School Musical in March 2007. This role began from a desire to help out “in any way” and has developed into an incredible love for every aspect of helping the show come together. It’s been a joy to see the kids develop their talents and confidence throughout each week’s rehearsals. Being a part of KOS has rekindled an interest in theater which Jen participated in during Jr. High and High school, including roles in Annie and Fame. Jen’s full time job is as a mother of four children. A majority of her time is spent transporting to and helping with various kid activities. She also serves at her church. Her desire is to see the kids excel in their roles and mostly to enjoy the process! Jen’s sense of humor and playful attitude are great blessings to Kids On Stage (adults and kids both!). |
