Lea Thomas
Choreographer, St. Joseph Camps |
Lea Thomas is a 19-year-old sophomore at Western Michigan University. She is majoring in dance and studies ballet, jazz, modern, music, and choreography. Once she receives her Bachelor’s degree she will teach and perform dance as her career.
Lea was very active while attending Lakeshore High School. She was a member of the Pom Pon Squad, Berrien County Dancers, and the assistant choreographer and a performer in the spring Musicals Grease and Guys and Dolls. Lea also taught at Dance Arts dance studio for two years.
Lea was the assistant choreographer with her sister, Jenna, for the recent Kids On Stage performance of High School Musical 2. She had so much fun working with the crew and is so thrilled to be choreographing for Kids On Stage this summer! |

| Rebecca holds a Bachelors of Music in Choral Education from Western Michigan University and a Certificate of Musical Theatre Performance from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. She is the Choral Director at Coloma Community Schools and LMC's Summer Choir. She has performed with various ensembles including :Gold Company, WMU Chorale, VOICES LMC and Jazz Band and in regional and local theatre productions such as Sandy in Grease!, Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, Mabel in Pirates of Penzance, Godspell, Oklahoma!, Hucklebee in The Fantasticks and this past April performed along with with Doug Fordyce in SMSO's presentation of Ragtime in the role of "Mother." Rebecca was writer/producer/performer for "A Woman's World Cabaret" at Danny's Skylight in New York City and the local cabaret "Broadway on a Summer 's Night" as well as "Evening with the Mater" at the Tin Shop Theatre in Buchanan. She has performed at such venues as The Cutting Room, The Triad, Studio One in New York City and Maxwell's in Hoboken, N.J. Rebecca was co-singer/songwriter for the former band, Stoney End, a back-up singer for Erin Hill Bank and is a BMI affiliated songwriter. |

Hey! This is Mitch. I'm 14 years old and I will be a freshmen at Michigan Lutheran High School. I have been In 7 of Doug's shows. I have been a gymnast for 10 years and I play basketball also. I've been playing guitar for about 5 years and I play piano. I helped with some of Doug's camps last year, and it was one of the highlights of my summer. I love working with kids and helping them improve their acting and performing abilities. See everyone soon!

Scott has loved the arts ever since he can remember. At 4 years old he did a surprise solo with his preschool class and was always putting on plays and singing for his family. In first grade he was Sandy the dog in DFP/CMW's "Annie Jr." He has done several other CMW productions as well as being involved with TCP. Scott will be a sophomore at SJHS where he is very active with choir, show choir, and plays tenor saxophone in the HS band. Scott received a vocal scholarship this year in choir. His most recent productions with KOS have been Baloo the bear in "Jungle Book," the Queen of Hearts in "Alice in Wonderland," and Mr. Fulton in "High School Musical 2." Scott will continue to do KOS productions until he graduates!! Scott wants to take as many arts and theatre opportunities as he can. He loves working with younger kids, seeing the excitement he can help create through his own experiences. Working with Doug is such an awesome experience, Doug is a great mentor and believes in having fun!!! Scott is very excited and looking forward to being a camp counselor. |

| Stuart is a 14 year-old that will be beginning his freshman year at Niles High School this fall. He has been in 10 shows with Doug. He has also enjoyed performing experiences with Twin City Players, The Tinshop Theatre, Southwestern Michigan College, Four Flags Players, and his church (First Presbyterian Church of Buchanan). He plays trumpet, french horn, and the occasional percussion in his school’s band. Stuart has been taking dance (jazz) for one year and has taken piano and voice lessons on and off for two years. Mr. Coulston is involved in various activities and hobbies that include Student Council, Football, Soccer, National Junior Honor Society, Yearbook, his school’s news show, Chess Club, Spanish Club, Art Club, Track and Field, 4-H, and Church Choir. He loves working with “the little ones” and looks forward to counseling |

Toni is a 13 year old who loves musical theatre. She started out as a Jr. Trouper in the KOS falll 2004 production Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. She has been a part of all KOS productions ever since including Summer Musical Theatre Camp and Future Stars Camp. Her singing and stage presence have grown over these years with KOS and she has made many new friends. Toni won the National Youth Theatre award for Outstanding Supporting Actress 13 & Under in her role as Sour Kanagroo in Seussical Jr. She also accepted the NYT award for Outstanding Ensemble 13 & Under on behalf of the entire Jr. Trouper cast in the production of High School Musical where her role was Sharpay Evans.
Toni's favorite part in theatre is singing in which she has won serveral vocal competitions. These include the 2008 talent competition at Berrien County Youth Fair and the 2008 Allegan County Fair American Idol Competition in the 5-17 age category. Her most recent win is the 2009 Voice of Choice competition put on by the Road to Life Church in St. Joseph. This win will give her the opportunity to sing at local events this summer including the Venetian Festival and the Berrien County Youth Fair. She has also performed at area churches and the Annual Veteran's Memorial Service at Eau Claire High School. Toni is looking forward to helping out in this year's summer MADD Camp. She has a heart for younger children and loves to encourage others and see them succeed. |

I'm Hannah, I have been in three KOS shows (Bring The House Down, Seussical Jr, and High School Musical 2). I love doing these shows! They're so much fun. I love being around children, I love singing, dancing, and acting. Those are my 3 main hobbies, I hope to do theater as a living! There's just somethig about it that makes me so happy. I really love making people happy and helping them when they need me.

Hey guys, my name is Bethany. I'm 16 and will be a junior in the fall. I consider music and theater to be about half of my life. Since kindergarten I've been in (I think) 17 shows with Doug and Jeri. Some of my recent roles include: Kaa the Snake--Jungle Book, Cheshire Cat--Alice in Wonderland, and Violet (a sharpette)--High School Musical 2. I also play piano and flute. I'm very excited to be a counselor for MADD camp this year! HAVE FUN :)

Hey everyone! I'm Alyson. I will be a junior at Michigan Lutheran High School next fall where I play volleyball, cheerleading, and soccer. I sing in Chorus & Festival Singers, am in drama & band, where I play flute, piccolo, and the keyboard. I have been in many musical productions and concerts since I was a kid. Most recently, I was Gabriella in KOS's production of High School Musical 2. I've taken piano for over 9 years. I also dance at The Citadel Dance & Music Center. I absolutely love singing, dancing, and acting and will continue these throughout my life. I look forward to working with all of the Junior Troupers this summer and helping them achieve further greatness in musical theatre!
