Andrew, MADD Camp Counselor |
My name is Andrew and I have been working with doug for most of my life. I enjoy KOS very much. From the child-friendly environment, to the general acceptance of anyone who joins. The thing I enjoy about KOS the most, are the memories. I can remember all the way back to when I was 8 years old when I was shy and reserved. Now, as many know and many will find out, I am an extremely "out there" (in a good way) person. I owe my self-confidence, teamwork skills, and friendships to Doug, Jeri, and the choreographers. This summer I have decided to volunteer my time because of the memories that I know will be made. Kids on Stage is my life and without it, I would still be that shy, reserved little kid. To volunteer my time to KOS and the special individuals at Milestones is the least I can do because, honestly, I think the volunteers and the director get more out of it than the children. Just having the satisfaction of knowing that you helped someone to better themselves in the art of theatre, is one of the best feelings one may ever experience. I hope that I can continue to assist Doug and Jeri in the future. Once more, I owe them everything I am. |

Josh, MADD Camp Counselor |
| |
My name is Josh. I have done 3 Kids On Stage shows. I have enjoyed all of them. My first one was Reach, then Annie, and the most recent one, High School Musical. The reason I have volunteered this summer, I like helping people learn how to do the things I love to do. Also, I like how this brings everyone together and all of us become closer friends. |

Lena, MADD Camp Counselor |
| |
Lena will be a freshman this fall and loves being a part of KOS. She has been in several Kids On Stage productions: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Destination Rock 'n' Roll, Aladdin Jr., Reach!, Annie Jr., and High School Musical and has also participated in Summer Theatre Boot Camp. She loves KOS because it has built her confidence and enthusiasm in all aspects of life. She thinks it is amazing experience as well as tons of fun. She has learned so much from what Doug and Jeri have offered over the past few years. Lena decided to counsel MADD camp this summer to share her love for theater with others and show younger kids how much fun and beneficial it can be. |

Allie, MADD Camp Counselor |

Hey I’m Allie! I have participated in Kids On Stage for the past 4 years and have been in 6 shows. Only in America and Destination Rock ‘n’ Roll were my first two shows. I was also in Aladdin Jr. where I played the part of Jasmine. Reach for the Stars was so much fun with all the dance ensembles and fun songs! Next came Annie Jr. and then High School Musical which was probably my favorite show of all.
I like to help with MADD camp because it’s so fun helping out the little kids and watching them learn. We counselors have a blast with them and we like to play all the fun little games as well. (Like the “dance-freeze
game”!)  I enjoy teaching the kids the basics of musical theater.
It’s cool watching them come to camp and then seeing them later in a show. I can tell the improvement they make and the confidence they have gained. This is true for any of the camps.
I love KOS! I have so much fun and learn a lot. As much as I love performing I also like it because of all the wonderful friends I have made. Some of my best friends I have met from KOS. The experience is one I’d never give up for anything.

Jennie, MADD Camp Counselor |

Hi, I'm Jennie! My first time with KOS was the summer theatre camp 2006 in the short performance of Annie. I LOVED it!! Then I did Annie in the fall with KOS and High School Musical in the spring of '07. Now I can't imagine my life without KOS. I am so happy I get to help campers at M.A.D.D have a great time like I do at KOS. I also love helping them with singing, acting, and dancing, because that's what I love to do most! |
